About Us

FemJustice for Women’s Legal and Economic Empowerment is a women-led NGO dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable women and girls. Founded in 2020, the organization was born out of a deep commitment to address the systemic issues that leave women and girls facing poverty, exploitation, and abuse as a result of marginalization and discrimination. Our mission is to empower vulnerable women and girls to access justice and rise up against inequality, and violence, and actively participate in the social economic development of their communities.

The inspiration behind FemJustice emanates from the personal experiences of our founder, Bruna. As a young girl, Bruna witnessed the profound challenges women and girls in her community faced, particularly domestic violence, the blatant disregard for women’s property rights and the high school dropout rates among girls. Moved by these injustices, she felt compelled to act. Bruna launched an initiative to educate communities about women’s property rights and empower girls with essential soft skills, equipping them to build a sustainable, dignified future.

The foundation of FemJustice is also rooted in Bruna’s childhood experience of being inspired by a powerful female role model. At just five years old, Bruna was deeply impacted by the visit of the first-ever female vice president to her community. The authority, respect, and eloquence the vice president commanded ignited Bruna’s passion for leadership and justice. This moment set her on a path to work hard, pursue excellence, and advocate for women’s rights, ultimately leading to the creation of FemJustice—a platform dedicated to supporting women and girls in their pursuit of equality, opportunity, and justice

Our unwavering commitment to integrity, expertise, and support ensures that we stand out in the industry, offering innovative solutions to help you reach your goals with confidence. Trust us to redefine your legal journey and experience the difference that Paralegal Onboarding can make for you.

In 2024, FemJustice became a legally registered organization in Uganda.

Why We Exist

⚖ Because too many women face injustice in silence, and poverty that keeps them powerless.
We exist to break that cycle.
* To make the law simple, practical, and accessible.
* To equip women with skills, resources, and opportunities for economic independence.
* To amplify women’s voices in homes, communities, and national decision-making spaces.

Slogan

“She’s Empowered. She Defends Herself,” we believe that a woman when holistically empowered can access justice, defend herself, and make decisions out of choice and not convenience.
